But this is not a magazine that pays much attention at all to the elite racing scene or advanced training, which is frustrating. Once you get past the fact that every single cover features some blond nobody runner in skimpy clothing and a perfectly airbrushed body, you arrive at a magazine that is mediocre at best for runners who are serious about the sport as something other than a fun kind of exercise. For the beginning runner, it has some nice articles about motivation, etiquette, and recipes, a race calendar and shoe guide. Every edition is a rehashing of the one before it. Running Times, produced by the same company, is a much better bet.
This magazine is great and packed full of useful and inspiring information. I enjoyed it so much that I bought a subscription for a friend for Christmas this year. You won't be disappointed.
This is a very good magazine.I have run 26 marathons and many other races and I find with each issue that there is an article that gives some good advice or just gives me the incentive to get out there for that long cold Sunday morning run. A good read for any runner or for someone looking to get into the sport.
Over 100 pages in each issue. Only paid $10 for a year, so its like.01 cent per page.
There's no better word to describe this magazine other than amazing. There are articles on new equipment, new races, and even tips from pros. It contains articles for new and seasoned runners, and tips for both. If you are looking to run a 5k, Half-Marathon, Marathon, or just want to get started running this is the perfect magazine. Most of the issues contain diet tips and exercise tips from award winning runners. If nothing else, the magazine serves as a great motivator to get out there and run.
